| Our slogan in Real Estate and in life in general is
"Making a Difference for You". It is based on the Starfish Story. Everyone
can make a difference if they want to. Opportunities are all around us. We just have to
open our minds and our hearts to the possibilities, whether it is a simple "pat on
the back" of encouragement, to buying someone’s lunch who you don’t even
know, to allowing another car in front of us, to doing volunteer work. It is how we run
our lives when no one is looking or when our good deed does not directly benefit us. Our philosophy is to "Make a Difference for You" in your Real-estate transaction(s). We work with all levels of buyers, sellers and investors. First time buyers are usually the most challenging because they have never been through it before. They are usually the most rewarding too, as we watch the excitement grow until it peaks with the transfer of the keys. We also work with military and corporate relocation, new builder homes, resales, lots and land, beachfront, view homes, horse property and multi-units or apartments. Our business is also strongly based in referrals. We fully expect to earn your referrals to your friends, family and co-workers. We count heavily on these referrals because, when we have a referral based business, we can spend more time on you and your search, marketing or closing. We don’t have to be concerned where the next client is coming from, we know, because you have already told us about them. We strongly believe in doing the right thing for the right reason so we thought we would share with you the two codes we follow: The Realtor® Code of Ethics and The Golden Rule. (Do unto others in a manner equal to or better than you would have them do unto you.) Sunshine was born in Rhode Island and started grade school in San Diego (wow - almost a native but not quite). As our Transaction Coordinator, Marketing Director, Customer Service and "all around get the job done person", she prides herself in attention to detail, whether it is in the contract, the escrow paperwork on elsewhere in the transaction, she is on top of everything. You may not appreciate this much until you are in the middle of the hundreds of papers involved and you need something and she has it! Dennis was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. He attended a year of college then his draft board called. He joined the Navy and was transferred to 32nd St. Naval Station like many other San Diegens. While serving his 4 years on ships in WestPac during Vietnam, he bought his first home in San Diego for $17,500 in 1973 (boy have things changed, he used a one page single sided contract). Following that, Dennis & Sunshine have owned several retail/wholesale businesses and have always been involved in customer service, advertising sales, and marketing. In 1990 they started Starfish Realty and Investments. In 1995, Dennis joined Sea Royal Realty and Sunshine followed in 1997. In 1999 they joined Taylor Place Real Estate and its association with the HomeBase Real Estate Advantage Program. Dennis handles most of the Sales and Negotiating. We specialize in the North San Diego County Coastal areas from Del Mar through Oceanside and over to Vista, San Marcos and Escondido. However, due to our knowledge of the San Diego Real Estate market, the 25+ years we have lived here and our affiliation with HomeBase and the HomeBase Real Estate Advantage Program, we can effectively market your home anywhere in San Diego County. If you are buying locally, we can also help you anywhere in San Diego County because of the PBS (Preferred Buyers Service). We have developed the ability to alert you when any property becomes available or is reduced into your price range.
