What the Seller Loves About This Home and Community...

The TLC that has gone into this home is the very best a buyer could hope for. As a former interior designer, I have taken great pride in creating a pleasing, tranquil interior and I take very good care of my home. It has a nice, open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a loft area and a room addition that can be used for many things. The English styled garden in the back yard is in full bloom and continuously blooms from March through December in glorious, full color. The front yard is maintenance free, as even the plants that should go dormant in the winter, never stop blooming!

We added a 4th bedroom (without a closet) used as an office, den and exercise room) in the tandem garage. It is well connected through the kitchen and is open and bright with three windows. We completed this project in August 2004.

The Pravada community is like family. We often have block parties and other get-togethers. When one family needs a hand (painting high ceilings, adding a room, installing sprinklers, etc,), it is very easy to find a neighbor to jump in and assist. When I painted the interior, I initially planned to do only one room. Then I began pulling coordinating colors together for the entire house. Neighbors came in to offer ladders, check on the progress, or to see the finished project. We love to have people over or spend time in our backyard. Especially when the flowers are in bloom, we like to light the tiki torches and have dinner with friends there. Many families have birthday parties or other get-togethers in our park. The kids gather there to play basketball each afternoon. Every day, and especially on weekends, you will see health enthusiasts walking, running, biking, walking dogs all over the Rancho Del Oro area. It is a very friendly place to live and the location is safe, central to San Diego and Orange County, and the city has many activities (our favorite being the marina).

Pravada is in the Oceanside Unified School District for elementary, middle and high school. Mira Mesa College is also just a couple of miles from our home. It's a great place to either take college courses, get drivers training, or take a class to learn a new hobby.

We love Guajome Park, just one mile east on Hwy. 76. It has camping, hiking, a lake and dog-friendly areas. On Mesa, just up College or Old Grove, is a large park that features gazebos, ball parks, etc. We love the Oceanside pier and Harbor. The Harbor has cute little shops and restaurants, as well as some larger, fine dining. It also has camping and boat launching. The pier has a restaurant at the end of it, and often hosts surfing competitions. Oceanside has the largest beach areas in north county. We are only 6 miles to the beach!

There are three golf courses in Oceanside, all surrounding our home. There are tennis courts on College (as well as a new YMCA), there is a 24 hour fitness on Frazee and Mission, within walking distance, ball parks surrounding, and a wonderful bike trail that extends along the riverbed from College Ave. all the way west (about 7-8 miles) to the Oceanside Harbor. Bikers, skaters, walkers and runners all love this trail on weekends.

We are within a mile of three major shopping centers, including Vons/Walmart, Ralphs/Lowes and Ralphs/Kmart, and across the street from convenience stores such as In & Out, Sav-on, dry cleaning and small eateries. Each of these centers has gas stations, dry cleaning, pharmacies, and fast food.

Just two miles from our home is the IDEC pharmacy complex and San Diego County's largest corporate center, almost complete, which will attract executives to local housing tracts, and will include a large hotel, dining, etc.

Oceanside Harbor, Oceanside Pier, and Mission San Luis Rey are all within 6 miles.
